Buddies Pub and Grill in Okemos has been a staple of my family for decades! Birthdays, graduations, football and basketball games have been spent here. When there was a power outage at our house, we knew we were going to Buddies for dinner, so it was something worth celebrating! I even got my first job here 18 years ago and remember it fondly! Southwest Quesadilla and Southern Nachos are my favorite, but there is variety in their menu!
Great food! Great service!! Being able to hear the owner verbally abuse her employees in the back was kind of a buzz kill tho.
We inevitably get to Buddies every visit to Okemos because it’s my Dad’s favorite place. It’s actually difficult to get a bad meal here. I’ve tried multiple dishes and loved every one of them. They have a good selection of beer, including craft brews. You can get Italian, Mexican, Salads, and American fare. The portions are unbelievably huge. Enough for at least 2 meals if you’re not a big eater. Prices are reasonable and they hey take all credit cards. Awesome place.
The best shrimp quesadilla. Drinks reasonably priced. Empty plate club, it was so good.
Unfortunately, I can't rate any higher than 5 stars on Google otherwise I would! I've been going to Buddies my entire life. The food here is amazing and always consistently good. They adjust with the times, yet remain a classic. They're a staple in the community. Their Nachos Supreme is the best I've ever had. The rest of their food is super high quality and amazing too and presentation is 10/10 If I could afford to eat out every day, Buddies would be a go-to multiple times a week! Expect a minimum of 10-12 per person, but it's well worth it!
Highly Recommend .... for food, the chef is amazing. The service is exceptional, ask for Mia. The atmosphere is what you would want when you want to watch a game. We make this a weekly stop in the summer when we ride our bikes. Try the French Dip and/or the Reuben . The best in town!
The wait staff is very courteous and the food is always good! Love the fries, onion rings, and appetizers. Haven't heard any complaints about the food, service, or atmosphere.
I have gone to Buddies a couple times and every time it was a great experience. The food is really tasty and the servers are friendly. The food is brought quickly considering they can be busy sometimes. I would recommend Buddies!
